At the root of every post is a nudging from the Lord as I ask Him to show me something new. He never fails to do so. Sometimes it’s reflective. Sometimes it smacks me right in the face. And sometimes it’s just humorous. Let’s enjoy this together as we grow deeper in understanding how we can thrive in this world because we are protected by the Lord in the cleft of the rock!

- The Missing Piece
Last Christmas my husband and I were gifted a 2000-piece puzzle. Now we’ve completed several 1000-piece puzzles over the years, usually with the help of other family members and guests. But 2000? Yikes! Well, it took a few weeks as it was only the two of us available to work on it, but we finished. Kind of. Much to our dismay, we only had 1,999 puzzle pieces. - Martha Meets Mary (Bob Meets Barry?)
OK…That’s a really lame title, but I want guys to know that this writing can apply to them as well. I’ve been told that I have the gift of hospitality. I guess I do. We’ve all heard that Biblical account of the Christmas story. You know–Linus’ big speech taken from Luke 2, meant to explain to Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about. But let’s really think about this entire story.
