Welcome to my blog! My hope is that my random thoughts and ramblings may encourage you and prompt some reflections in your own life. At the root of every post is a nudging from the Lord as I ask Him to show me something new. He never fails to do so. Sometimes it’s reflective. Sometimes it smacks me right in the face. And sometimes it’s just humorous. Let’s enjoy this together as we grow deeper in understanding how we can thrive in this world because we are protected by the Lord in the cleft of the rock!
If you are new to my blog, it may be helpful to go back and read my first three posts to get to know me a little better.

The stench it left behind nearly knocked me over! I picked up my walking pace to escape the lingering unpleasantness. - Pick Me! Pick Me!
I especially dreaded what seemed to be a common occurrence in our elementary P.E. classes. The teacher would select two kids–usually the “popular” ones– to be captains of opposing teams and the captains would take turns choosing teammates. Guess who was usually left until the very end when the last captain to choose would be stuck with me?
